Nodem 2008 — Iceland / Experiences in Natural and Cultural Heritage

NODEM 08 was held at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík

Nordic Digital Excellence in Museums (NODEM) was founded in 2002 as a conference series in the emergent field of digital heritage. The stated aim of this series was to promote encounters between scientists and cultural professionals and stimulate an effervescence of new insights and innovative solutions by assisting and supporting the collaboration between researchers, artists and cultural professionals. Today NODEM is also an interdisciplinary portal with the mission of mediating this knowledge transfer and aiding the implementation of digital tools in museums, galleries and exhibitions, natural and cultural heritage sites. The ambition of the portal is to create a patrimony of knowledge, know-how and best practices departing from the experiences, innovations and insights that emerge in the context of such collaborations. This valuable repository will be freely available on the NODEM portal.
