In the spring of 2016, two workshops were held at the Stockholm City Museum to help develop a new digital museum guide. The purpose of the workshops was to support internal and external dialogue and to identify the needs that the new guides are expected to fill.
Workshop #1 was held together with the museum team that was developing the guide. In this workshop the team was assigned to design their ideal guide in smaller groups. Similarities and differences were compared and summarized.
Workshop #2 was held together with the target group “youth” (17-25 years old). The workshop consisted of a guided tour in the museum followed by a discussion about the purpose of a museum guide. This was concluded with a creative activity where participants made their own guides by customizing and combining ready-made objects.
